The platform includes features like adaptive quizzes, skills demonstrations, glossary management, and detailed progress analytics.

Pethology uses a whitelist system to ensure only authorized users can access the platform:

• Students: Your teacher must add you to the student whitelist before you can create an account
• Teachers: You must be added to the teacher whitelist by an administrator

Once you're whitelisted, simply click "Login" and follow the authentication process through Auth0.

Yes! Pethology is currently completely free for students and teachers. Our goal is to support veterinary education and make quality learning tools accessible to everyone.

Pethology works on any device with a modern web browser:

• Tablet: Touch-optimized interface for iPad and Android tablets
• Mobile: Responsive design works on all smartphones

No! Pethology is a web-based application. Just open your browser, navigate to the website, and log in. No downloads or installations required.

Your progress is automatically saved to the cloud, so you can access it from any device.

Pethology offers two types of quizzes:

• Standard Quizzes: Pre-made quizzes covering all 10 veterinary modules (200+ questions)
• Custom Quizzes: Created by your teacher with optional deadlines

Our adaptive quiz system intelligently adjusts question difficulty based on your performance, ensuring you're always learning at the right level.

Achievements are rewards for reaching milestones in your learning journey. There are 19 different achievements to unlock:

• Quiz Achievements: Complete specific numbers of quizzes (5, 10, 25, 50, 100)
• Score Achievements: Reach certain average scores (70%, 80%, 90%)
• Module Achievements: Master specific veterinary modules
• Special Achievements: Perfect scores, speed challenges, and more

Check your "My Achievements" page to see your progress toward each achievement.

Skills Demonstrations are practical checklists created by your teacher to help you prepare for hands-on assessments:

• View published demonstrations in your dashboard
• Check off tasks as you complete them
• Track your progress with visual indicators
• Mark yourself as "Ready for Assessment" when you're 100% complete

Your teacher can see your progress in real-time to know when you're ready for evaluation.

The Glossary is a comprehensive dictionary of veterinary terms managed by your teacher. It includes:

• Terms organized by category (Anatomy, Diseases, Procedures, Tools, Medications)
• Search functionality to quickly find definitions
• Multiple view modes (A-Z, by category, grid view)

Use it as a quick reference while studying or taking quizzes.

Yes. Your teacher can view your progress through the Class Management system, including:

• Quiz scores and completion rates
• Average scores and trends
• Weak topics that need improvement
• Quiz history and timeline

This helps your teacher provide targeted support and identify areas where you might need extra help.

Your progress is automatically saved after every quiz. You can view detailed analytics in your "My Progress" page:

• Overall Stats: Total quizzes, average score, total time spent
• Module Breakdown: Performance by topic with visual charts
• Quiz History: Complete timeline of all attempts with scores and topics
• Weak Topics: Areas identified for improvement based on your performance

You can add students in two ways:

• Manual Entry: Click "Import Students" and add students one by one with their name and email
• CSV Upload: Upload a CSV file with columns for name and email to add multiple students at once

Once added to the whitelist, students can create their accounts and start learning.

Yes! Use the Custom Quiz Import system to create your own quizzes:

• Upload questions via CSV file
• Add quiz title, topic, and difficulty
• Set optional deadlines for assignments
• Quizzes appear automatically in your students' dashboards

This is perfect for assignments, homework, or topic-specific assessments.

Navigate to "Skills Demos" from your dashboard and click "Create New Demo":

• Add title and description
• Create checklist items with task descriptions and completion criteria
• Save as Draft (only you can see) or Publish (visible to students)
• View student progress to see who's ready for assessment

You can edit or delete demos at any time.

Access the Glossary management from your dashboard to:

• Add new terms with definitions and categories
• Edit existing terms
• Delete outdated terms
• Search and filter by category
• View stats (total terms by category)

All changes are instantly visible to your students.

Yes! Use the Announcements system to communicate with your students:

• Create announcements that appear on student dashboards
• Add titles and detailed messages
• Edit or delete announcements as needed
• Students see announcements immediately upon login

Yes. Pethology uses industry-standard security practices:

• Auth0: Enterprise-grade authentication with encrypted login
• Firebase: Google Cloud infrastructure for data storage

Your personal information and quiz data are never shared with third parties.
